Cars, Trains, Planes or Bikes

All vehicles need an energy source. This could range from pedal power to rocket fuel. Costs of travel vary drastically according to the type of vehicle used and include environmental impact as well as dents in a traveller’s purse.

Other costs involve safety features. Yet not everyone agrees, for instance, making the wearing of seatbelts compulsory caused an outcry at the time. Others go so far as to drive when exhausted or intoxicated. This affects their reaction time and therefore the stopping distance of any vehicle they are in control of.

This section addresses questions such as

  • Plane or train?
  • What fuel would you use in your car?
  • What price is safety?
  • How responsible a driver would you be?
  • Saving fuel
